"Well, we do have a dedicated political forum, but as the man in the jelly donut suit there are some pressing partisan issues at stake here.
1. Would McCain be a powdered sugar cake donut, to Obama's chocolate glazed yeast donut?
2. Joe Biden would obviously be a Crueller guy, but Sarah Palin ... bear's claw or cinnamon roll?
3. What do you prefer in your suit ... lemon, raspberry, or custard? (I'm guessing custard, but that it leaves a funky yeast infection).

Hey, thanks for the response. I trust you realize my admonishment was only half serious.
But, we're all getting older. It beats the alternative.

a valid criticism. it's tough with comedy, as there is usually something or someone who is the subject of the satire or joke. in this case, age (more specifically the age of the man who may lead our country). in most cases, i try to make the joking over-the-top enough and poke enough fun at myself (enter the donut), to make it feel more playful and inclusive. but in the end, yes, there is a joke being made.
i feel that every facet of life can be viewed with humor (including race and gender). so for me, it comes down to HOW that humor is highlighted. this video does have some insensitive undertones. but i also think that in this case, McCain's age (and life expectancy) is a concern to the well-being of the nation, and the world. i love the elderly. just not as my country's #1 in command, with an inexperienced evangelical in the #2 seat.
it's hard to tell if the Digg Reel and these forums ARE the place for politics, but we cover popular videos on Digg and DAMN, politics are in the air. new episode comes out tomorrow, with a lot less partisanship.
i do appreciate all these comments. thanks!

I think I'll have a weigh in on the disappointed side. Ageism isn't pretty. You wouldn't make a video poo-pooing Barack because he's an African American. You wouldn't make a video poo-pooing Hilary because she's a woman. That 'just wouldn't be funny.
So, he smells a little funny and thinks Web 2.0 is sequel to "Dragnet." It isn't a laughing matter.

I think it's total crap....
I don't come to revision3 for my political news/updates/editorials. I have long enjoyed (since the beginning) revision3 content because it doesn't include politics and religion. If there WERE rev3 programming that is focused on politics and religion, I would probably choose not to watch it.
I also didn't like the fact that I clicked on what I thought was an extra episode of the diggreel and got Bancroft's other project. If rev3 wants to give him a Jelly Doughnut show, then do it and I may choose to watch it. Just don't put Bancroft's other stuff under an established rev3 program. What's next? Cut and pasting episodes of "Project Lore" in the video games section of TRS? Don't think so....
